‘It actually happened’: Streetsboro Fire Department rescues kitten from tree

STREETSBORO, Ohio (WOIO) - The Streetsboro Fire Department rescued a kitten from a tree Saturday.

The department shared the news of the rescue on its social media, saying, “Okay, before this gets out elsewhere, we need to be the first to tell you. It actually happened…..today.”

The department reported that its on-duty crews were called to an apartment complex at 5:46 p.m. to rescue a kitten that climbed a tree.

The rescue crews responded by placing a ground ladder against the tree, and Firefighter Boone scaled the ladder and got the kitten from the tree, according to the department.

After getting the kitten, Boone brought it down to the ground and returned it to its human.

“Streetsboro Fire Department: Ready to save ANY life, at any time,” the department said on social media.
